1. Eligibility Criteria:

• Medical Eligibility:
  • Patients must undergo a thorough pre-procedure evaluation (including non-invasive and invasive imaging) to determine their suitability for CTO stenting.
  • The patient must have a confirmed diagnosis of chronic total occlusion with significant symptoms such as severe angina, ischemia, or compromised heart function.
  • The patient must be deemed a suitable candidate for percutaneous intervention by the medical team based on clinical assessments.
• Financial Eligibility:
  • The program is specifically designed for low- and middle-income patients who may otherwise struggle to afford the procedure at standard market rates.
  • Patients with insurance should pay the extra cost out of their insurance packages according to the prices mentioned with the low-cost program.

2. Cost Structure:

• The program offers discounted rates on CTO stenting procedures, including consumables (guidewires, balloons, Two stents) and professional fees.
• Cost coverage may include:
  • Professional fee, Cath lab costs for the procedure.
  • Procedure-related costs, including stents (Two stents), guide catheters, sheaths, special guide catheter, multiple guidewires, microcatheters, balloons and other necessary equipment.
• Patients will be informed about any additional charges that may arise due to unforeseen complications or requirements (e.g., extended hospital stays, specialized tests).
• Exclusions:
  • Pre-procedure diagnostics and evaluations (ECGs, stress tests, imaging).
  • Post-procedure care (immediate follow-up and one post-operative visit).
  • Extra stents are charged additionally.
  • Additional procedures like IVUS / OCT imaging, Rotational / Orbital atherectomy, IVL balloon, IABP are charged additionally
  • Post operative medications are charged extra.
  • Post operative additional diseases like infections, blood transfusions are charged extra.

3. Payment Terms:

• Patients are required to pay total procedure amount at the time of admission.
• The additional expenses will be settled according to the requirement on daily basis.

Refunds:

• Once the procedure is scheduled, any cancellation by the patient will be subject to hospital-specific refund policies.
• Refunds for medical reasons (such as ineligibility post-evaluation) will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Pre-Procedure Requirements:

• Patients must adhere to all pre-procedure medical evaluations, including necessary diagnostic tests (CT angiography, blood work, etc.), to ensure they are fit for the procedure.
• Patients are required to disclose full medical histories, including existing health conditions, previous cardiac treatments, and medications.
• Failure to follow pre-procedure medical advice, such as medication discontinuation or dietary restrictions, may lead to postponement or cancellation of the procedure.

5. Post-Procedure Care:

• The program will not cover the costs of post-procedural care, including immediate follow-up, medication adjustments, and lifestyle advice.
• Any additional care needed due to complications or conditions unrelated to the CTO procedure may not be covered under the low-cost program and could incur extra charges.
• Patients are expected to attend all post-procedural follow-up visits and adhere to prescribed rehabilitation programs.

6. Cancellation and Postponement Policy:

• The hospital reserves the right to cancel or postpone the procedure if:
  • The patient fails to meet medical eligibility criteria.
  • Pre-procedure assessments indicate increased risk that was not apparent in initial evaluations.
  • The patient fails to follow necessary medical preparations.
• In cases of postponement, rescheduling will be based on medical advisories and availability.

7. Consent and Agreement:

• Patients must sign an informed consent form prior to the procedure, acknowledging the potential risks, benefits, and alternatives to CTO stenting.
• Patients must acknowledge that the low-cost program provides necessary medical care but does not compromise on quality or safety.
• Patients should be aware that their procedure will be carried out by qualified, experienced interventional cardiologists with the support of an advanced medical team.

8. Limitations of the Program:

• The program is limited to coronary CTO stenting procedures and does not cover other types of cardiac or non-cardiac treatments unless directly related to the intervention.
• The program does not cover treatments for unrelated or secondary health issues discovered during diagnosis or treatment.
• Certain advanced medical devices or premium stents that go beyond the program’s standard offering may incur additional charges.

9. Rights Reserved by the Institution:

• The hospital reserves the right to modify, update, or terminate the program at any time, with prior notice to enrolled patients.
• Any changes to the cost structure, eligibility criteria, or services offered under the program will be communicated in advance.

10. Confidentiality and Data Protection:

• All patient information, medical history, and financial details submitted as part of the program will be kept strictly confidential.
• Data may be used anonymously for research and quality improvement purposes with the patient’s consent.

11. Feedback and Complaints:

• Patients are encouraged to provide feedback on their experience with the low-cost CTO stenting program.
• Any grievances related to medical treatment, financial matters, or service quality will be addressed promptly by the hospital’s grievance redressal committee.

12. Legal Compliance:

• The program will comply with all relevant healthcare regulations and government policies related to patient care, financial assistance, and medical ethics.
• Any disputes or issues arising from the treatment or terms of the program will be addressed in accordance with the laws governing medical services.
